A collaborative google doc about Pre GED School

The following is a short piece that my typing and computer skills class wrote together as a group. I typed for them and showed them how I was formatting the document. They supplied the information and formed the sentences together as a group. Today they will attempt their own document using the same format:
Pre-GED School
We are all attending the Pre-GED School at St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Dallas, TX. We are taking classes in Typing and Computer Skills, Conversation, Writing, Reading, and Math. The classes meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Our classes teach us different skills. We are learning to write an essay using correct grammar, how to have a conversation in English, and how to read English. On Tuesdays we learn how to type on the computer keyboard and other computer skills.
Each of us have different reasons for coming to the Pre-GED School. Martha comes to school because learning English is important to her. She wants to be able to help her children with their school work. Virginia comes to school because she wants to be able to get a better position at work. If she improves her English, she could get promoted. Yadira is at the school because she wants to help her daughter with her homework and because she wants to be able to understand her doctor when she has an appointment. Rufina wants to be able to help her children with their school work and she wants to be able to express herself in English. She has three friends who do not speak Spanish and would like to be able to communicate with them better. Everyone agrees that learning English is important because we all live in America and English is the language of the land.
We are all thankful for our teachers at the Pre-GED School for teaching us and having a passion for our learning. We feel that if we keep working at school we will be more successful in this country.
